Review by hotel critic
Review of Grand HotelHaving recently visited Grand Hotel, I found the experience to be a nuanced blend of luxury and value, particularly appealing for those with an appreciation for historical exploration, like myself. The hotel boasts a comfortable lounge area and an efficient 24-hour reception service, ensuring guests feel welcomed and attended to. My stay was enriched by the excellent breakfast, a fitting start to each day of exploring nearby castles. the concierge service stood out, with staff, including a commendable young man who assisted not only with our luggage but also with parking. Their personal touch elevated our experience. While the Michelin-starred restaurant offers a tempting menu, the surrounding setting felt less than five-star, with shoppers intermittently wandering past. Thus, I would classify this hotel as a strong four-star establishment rather than five. In summary, for those seeking a well-placed hotel with commendable service and modern amenities like air conditioning and soundproofed rooms, Grand Hotel is a worthy choice, particularly when considering the overall value during a Mediterranean adventure.
